Tuesday, October 4th, 2011: Wood Bashes 3 HR for Baltimore!
Detroit won't soon forget the display of raw power put on today by Brandon Wood of the Baltimore Orioles. He victimized the Tigers by pounding three pitches out of Oriole Park at Camden Yards. The homers sparked his club to a 9-8 win and got him a spot in the league record book.

"I got three pitches down the pipe and popped them," Wood told reporters. "Today I was in a groove...tomorrow I could just pop the same pitches up and go 0 for 3."

In addition to the homers, he collected 3 RBIs and scored 3 runs.

B. Wood hit a solo-shot off J. Bonderman in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off J. Bonderman in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off J. Bonderman in the 6th and struck out in the 8th.

This season Wood is batting .241 with 34 home runs. His totals include 87 RBIs and 91 runs scored.
